Nanuqsaurus1

Little cousins of the T-rex (and not the Gorgosaurus as previously believed), the Nanuqsaurus is the largest predator of Alaska during the Upper Cretaceous. In its time, Alaska is covered with snow a good part of the year and the prey its least abundant. The Nanuqsaurus means adapting to these climatic conditions by shrinking (and thus having less need for food) and by developing feathers to protect themselves from the cold.

It is competing with other predators (such as polar troodons) and hunt polar herbivores like the Pachyrhinosaurus.
