Megazostrodon is a small mammal that lived during the late Triassic and Early Jurassic. It laid eggs like reptiles but it took care of its young like mammals. It lived underground in borrows like shrews. It will only leave its borrow when it is night. It ate mostly insects and worms. It is preyed on by dinosaurs and competed with the other small reptiles. At the time this small mammal appeared it was living during a stage of great change when Pangea was tarring apart to form Laurasia and Gondwana.
