Siats meekerorum is one of the last Carnosaurs of North America and in its time, nothing could compete it, not the tyrannosaurs who were only carnivores of small sizes. This great predator, cousin of the European Neovenator, probably chased the hadrosaurs of his time.
Its disappearance is linked to climate change and the new variety of prey (ankylosaurs and ceratopsian) and the rarefication of its prey.
Nevertheless, its disintegration has made it possible for other predators, such as tyrannosaurs, to grow and replace it in its ecological niche.
