Erythrosuchus

Erythrosuchus is an extinct genus of archosauriform reptile from the Triassic of South Africa and possibly Antarctica(Despite how the answer remains unknown if it really was found in Antarctica because few or no remains have been found there). It is very recognizable by its large head and relatively short neck. Its head was large and resembled a theropod and had sharp, conical teeth. It walked on all fours and had limbs positioned semi-vertically beneath its body, unlike the more sprawling gait of most earlier reptiles.

In the Upper Triassic, the ecological niche left by Erythrosuchus was filled by creatures like Saurosuchus and Postosuchus.
